Odor Removal and Ozone Treatment

If you’ve ever been sat in a vehicle with an unpleasant smell, you’ll be familiar with how unappetizing an experience this can be. Cars do not offer a lot of space, and when you’re trapped in a small area with a horrible odor, it can really make you squirm. This frustration is even more substantial when the smell is there on a regular basis – and can make driving unbearable. At Suds and Sparkle Mobile Detailing, we provide high grade odor removal and ozone treatment services, and this is just what you need to remove a stubborn odor from your vehicle when everything else has failed. More information on this service is available through our customer service team, as well as below.

Ozone Treatment

Ozone treatments have become more and more popular for car owners in recent years, and this is because the process has been perfected. But what exactly is it, and how does it work? Ozone treatment is where we pump in O3, a gas that, when it comes into contact with scents and odors, completely eliminates the contacted smell. This works through the oxidation process, and the effective removal of the smell is permanent – it won’t come back as long as the source of the smell is no longer present. You’ll be surprised at just how powerful this process is, especially if you’ve been grappling with the removal of an odor on your own for some time.

Removing Odors

Ozone treatment is a very effective mechanism for the removal of an odor, but that will only be effective if you make sure that the source of the odor has been removed as well. A lot of the time, this isn’t an issue – the source has already been removed, and the smell is just lingering because it’s soaked into the surfaces in the interior of the vehicle. However, if there’s any source left over, the smell will return. We’ll make sure that there’s no such issue when you bring your car into our detailing service.

Clearing Air Vents

One of the ways that you can suffer from unwanted smells and odors in your vehicle is when your car’s air vents are full of dirt and debris. It’s natural that some will build up in the internal mechanisms, as the air comes in from outside. We’ll use compressed air and brushes carefully to remove any impurities and contaminants, ensuring that the system isn’t compromised or damaged by the work that we’re carrying out. You need to clear out the entire system to make sure that you’re removing any chance of an odor cropping back up.

Mold and Mildew

One more serious possibility that you need to consider is whether your vehicle has become infested with mold and mildew. This is not the most uncommon occurrence, because for these growths to rise up and spread, they need moisture and warmth – which are both commonly found in car ventilation systems. We’ll make sure that if any is present, it’s completely cleared out – and we’ll root out the source of the moisture leak too.
